New Study Suggests Introducing Peanut Mush to Infants!

An update to the 2010 guidelines has been made based on a review of 64 publications including LEAP (Learning About Peanut allergy) trial. There are 3 different risk levels and the higher the risk, the earlier peanuts need to be introduced. For those at the highest risk (severe eczema or egg allergy) peanut mush should be introduced at 4-6 months of age. For those infants with intermediate risk (mild to  moderate eczema, the study suggests introduction to peanuts at 6 months of age. To read more about this study, click on the link below!
